Event details

SATURDAY @ 7:30 PM in MARYLEBONE

All Styles & Experience welcome 🙂

Walk-up sign up on the night is from 7 pm. Music starts at 7:30 pm, or:

Reserve Your Slot Now:

N.B. The first 15 slots are 10 minutes each (e.g. two songs), then it goes down to 5 mins each (this includes your set-up time!):

  1. Reserve your single * desired slot by clicking the green Registration button
  2. Arrive by 7:20 pm to be checked-in by the host [important - see below ** ]
  3. Enjoy the music and play when it's your turn!

Important:

We want this system to be fair to all performers; if you can no longer make your slot for any reason, please email us the name and date of the event you wish to cancel ASAP, so we may open the slot up to other performers. If you don't cancel and don't show up you will be considered a 'No Show', which may affect your ability to reserve slots in the future.

* To keep things fair to others, please only book 1 slot. If you want friends to sign up, send them the link :) If you register multiple slots, your order will be cancelled (the system may allow you to book multiple slots, but we don't!).

** Make sure you find the host when you arrive, before 7:20 pm, so they can check you in (don't wait or expect them to come and find you!).

If you check in after 7:20 pm, you risk being considered late, and your slot may be allocated to someone else, in which case you'll be given the next available slot on the list (which might well be the last one...)

Rules:

We run warm, friendly, relaxed and welcoming open mics. In order to keep things running smoothly we have a few

rules.

By reserving your slot, you agree to:

  • Be nice and supportive to everyone you meet, and try to stay for all the performers - this is not a competition! Let's help each other :)
  • Be ready to play, by the stage, when it's your turn (i.e. tuned up, instruments at the ready!)
  • All slots are subject to last-second change by the host (e.g. if no one wants to go first, everyone might have to move forward one slot!)
  • Please don't go over your time as you are eating into the other performers' time. The host may well cut your slot mid-performance if you go over your allotted time! (10 mins for the first 15 slots, 5 mins thereafter, including your set-up time).
  • Though you have a 10 min slot, you are more than welcome to do less (e.g. one song) if you'd prefer
  • Backing tracks are welcome, but you must bring your own player (e.g. cd player, mp3 player, etc) that has a normal 3.5mm mini-jack headhpone socket (like the one on most phones, except new iPhones) that we can plug into (we have the cable)
  • You will respect the UK Open Mic equipment (and anyone else's!) and do your best to look after and be mindful of it.

NB. the venue pays to put on the night, so please try to support it by purchasing at least one item from the bar (more is better!). The nights can only continue if people support the venue!

Also, the venue reserves the right to ask anyone to leave for any reason whatsoever (it's their place, after all!). It's incredibly rare that this happens, but abusive, drunken or threatening behaviour, overtly aggressive or insulting performances or consuming ones own food and drink are some of the reasons why it might happen. Just sayin!
